- Why is Daft Punk classed as Postmodern?Many of the tracks daft punk have produced have sampled already existing songs like old 70's disco tracks. They use these in their songs so are effectively just creating a remix of an existing song but changed the songs elements and orignal meaning. Although in some of the music videos there are homages and intertextual references to what they took the sample from. Which is why daft punk is effectively just plagiarising existing media but in a clever but indiscreet way.
